Harold Simpson is a dynamic leader with over 18 years of experience in strategic planning, workforce development, and community engagement. Currently serving as the Director of Workforce Development and Training at the Urban League of Middle Tennessee, Harold oversees employee development, fosters strategic partnerships, and designs regional training programs to equip participants with skills for well-paying careers.

Harold has extensive experience in family empowerment and fatherhood initiatives, having worked with the NFL Player Alumni Association/Fatherhood Initiative as a speaker and advocate, delivering impactful presentations and workshops to promote active fatherhood and community involvement. His career also spans key roles in child and family services, including leadership positions with the Department of Children Services in Tennessee and New Jersey, and program management roles at organizations such as Covenant House New York and CAMBA, where he oversaw case coordination, program operations, and performance management.

Harold holds a Master’s in Public Administration with a concentration in Health Services and Strategic Planning from Kean University and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Sociology with a counseling focus from Virginia Union University. Recognized for his leadership and community impact, he was honored with the Virginia Union University “40 for 40” award in 2025.
